1) Lack of drivers for older and newer hardware. 2) Power options do not change automatically for laptops depending on whether you are plugged or unplugged from a power source. 3) The Start Menu has been redone with a completely different look, unfortunately it is hard to navigate and find what you are looking for 4) Rebooting a Vista machine is supposed to be faster, but it actually takes longer to reboot than XP. 5) Hardware doesn’t run well on Vista (even new hardware) |

| | I use Windows Vista Home Edition. Got it with my new computer that I bought about two months ago. It was installed from factory and in the beginning I had some problems. But after a complete re-install Vista works fine for me. |

1. I undestand the hardware issues, some older stuff does not work for me also, most newer stuff should work. If it doesn't its not microsofts fault its the manufactures fault.
2.Cannot comment on the power problems, my laptop has xp pro.
3.That is not a flaw, it just takes alittle while to get used to. Plus you can change it to the classic view if you want. I find it much easier to navigate that xp or 98
4. It has been tested vista does boot faster than xp. It all depends on what services you have set to start up with and you hardware. If you bought a computer with vista, there is most likly alot of "bloatware" that the install with vista that isn't necessary.
5. Almost all new harware works with vista. Some slower computers will have trouble with going from xp to vista due to a low amount of ram and slow processor. |

| Never said xp was bad I love XP. I just use vista because Vista 64 bit is better than XP 64, and I have to run a 64bit os
Edit
Have you installed SP3 yet? |

not yet Windows XP SP3, the reason to wait is software incompatibilities. Even though SP3 has underdone much testing, it's a big world and there are bound to be problems with some software. By waiting, you let everyone else find and fix the problems before you face them. |

yes nick, i like to use all the Microsoft Windows family because i have to experiment with all those OS and differentiate them! so i will get an idea about the overall microsoft family
i use windows 98 because for the safety purpose, if anything goes wrong with the XP i can format the drive and re-install the xp..... |
