i have listed ten antivirus software form the review of 2008, which antivirus you are using and why? which antivirus you feel is best? vote them in the poll!

post a small discription about your antivirus and how it works!

i am using Mcafee as karthick do, i am fully satisfied with that antivirus software! other than Mcafee, i have used Kespersky and norton but before using Kespersky we should be skillful in the windows files!

I use AVG. Don't know how good it is compared to other antivirus software but it's free and it works fine for me. I have been using it for a long time already, on my old computer with XP and now on my new one with Vista also. I never had any virus issues nor conflicts with other software.

Same here, I love kaspersky. Probably not the best for slower computers, but it does a good job.

Just fyi it is spelt kaspersky not Kespersky Smile

Good to see a norton user,

i installed norton once but my system was very slow at that time and more over the scanning is good but it does'nt scan for the trojan but Mcafee does!

Currently i am using Kaspersky Smile

AVG is good but you have to scan and update it manually each and every time. so i think Mcafee could help you a lot in this case - it updates automatically and pop up is also available when you insert any external devices nor any devices like pen drive, flash drive but in AVG it will not pop up!

Note : Mcafee is also available for free download!

If you are using the free version of avg, it does give you the option to automatically scan, and update. The paid version gives you more scheduling options and features, such as real time protection.

The major advantage of avg is that it is free and does not require alot of system reasources.

i'm using Mcafee it works fine... the updates pop ups are automatically done, and more over its free... i'hv used norton it is very slow

Norton user here too and AVG user,works fine and better but i prefer AVG than Norton

i have a genuine kasperky on my home but i havent tried it on my new laptop and sooner i will try it

anyways my vote is for AVG

hehe Very Happy, now i am using four Anivirus Softwares, Two in Windows XP ( Mcafee 2008 total protection, AVG antivirus) and Two in Windows Vista (Bitdefender, Kaspersky)...

These four antivirus have thier own special features Smile so i use to use all the four antivirus, now am safe from viruses! Very Happy
